Just a quick note: it seems that on some laptops (the Dell Inspiron 9200 for example) the SD card reader is enabled / disabled together with the Firewire port. I found this it because I always disable firewire ports on laptop, given that it can be used to dump the contents of the memory and I was left wondering why it wouldn’t read SD cards.

I've chosen this post to comment on for a number of reasons :
ReplyDelete1 - It was top of the page :)
2 - You don't seem to elicit many comments
3 - I wanted to say "Hi, I read your blog and find most of the posts quite interesting and relevant to what I get up to on a daily basis"
Thanks for taking the time to put it out there.
I don't sign up for things or subscribe unless it's forced on me at knife point, and therefore I choose to remain completely anonymous.

Thanks for the kind words.
ReplyDeleteOne advantage of signing your post with a name (and a link) is that (a) I can take a look at your activity and possibly sign up for it (if you link to a blog, twitter account - anything with an RSS feed) and (b) that all the comment owner links have full privilege (they don't contain the nofollow mark).
